The BIND zone file accepts this naming convention. (".." in the LB record name)
XC A or AAAA records also accept this type of name.

Only LB records do not accept it.

So it can not be migrated BIND configuration from a static round-robin algorithm to a dynamic LB if the record names contain "." characters.
