AppSentinels requires the following request and response data for API discovery and security monitoring:

Request Details:

• URI

• HTTP Method

• Headers

• Payload

Response Details:

• Headers

• Status Code

• Payload

However, AppSentinels has indicated that F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) currently does not provide an integration mechanism to expose the complete set of request and response information required for their API security analysis.

They also reviewed the access logging capabilities available in F5 XC and observed that the logs do not capture certain critical elements, such as:

• Request payload

• Response headers

• Response payload
