Product Enhancement Request: Enhanced Search and Dependency Mapping for Origin Pools, Load Balancers, and Domains

We would like to submit a product enhancement request for the F5 Distributed Cloud Console to improve the visibility and traceability of relationships between Domains, Load Balancers, Origin Pools, and Origin IP addresses.

Current Challenge

In environments with a large number of Load Balancers, Domains, Origin Pools, and Origin IP addresses, identifying the relationships between these objects requires navigating through multiple sections of the Console, such as:

• Manage → Load Balancers → Origin Pools

• Manage → Load Balancers → Routes → Domain Name → Origin Pool

While these navigation paths provide the required information, they become inefficient and time-consuming at scale.

Requested Enhancement

We request the addition of a global search or dependency mapping feature within the Console that enables administrators to quickly trace object relationships.

Example use cases:

1. Search by Domain

   • Display all associated Load Balancers.

   • Display all associated Origin Pools.

   • Display all configured Origin IP addresses.

2. Search by Origin IP Address

   • Identify the Origin Pool(s) using the IP address.

   • Identify the Load Balancer(s) associated with those Origin Pools.

   • Identify the Domain(s) served through those Load Balancers.

Expected Benefits

• Significantly reduce the time required for troubleshooting and operational tasks.

• Simplify dependency analysis in large-scale deployments.

• Improve configuration visibility and operational efficiency.

• Reduce the risk of configuration errors caused by manual navigation across multiple objects.
